Reading Miłosz. On Three Forms of Aesthetic Ideology
It is the first attempt to use de Man’s concept in the analysis of Polish modernist literature perceived as cultural formation of the 20th century. The features and peculiarities of Miłosz’s texts are pondered mainly theoretically and not in terms of historical poetics. The author analyses metaphorical and rhetorical reading, allegory and irony as well as three forms of aesthetic ideology: metalepsis, synecdoche and mimesis.
