Funerary sculpture in sixteenth-century Mazovia
The publication devoted to the 16th-century funerary sculpture in Mazovia, based both on the field inventory and the wide archival query, including iconographic collections. In addition to the catalogue part, which is organized geographically, the book contains short history of Mazovia in the 16th century, with the presentation of the funerary monuments founders’ milieu, as well as the general analysis of the funerary art in Mazovia: typology of the monuments, main centers and issues of style and workmanship.
