The documents come from the personal archive of Ryszard Gansiniec (1888-1958), one of the most versatile Polish scholars. The profiles, written mostly in the interwar period, with some coming from World War Two days and the postwar years, provide valuable information on both prominent researchers and those who due to various circumstances have not registered in our collective memory.
