Belarusian as a Foreign Language
The issue opens with an article devoted to the use of communicative strategies in shaping the communication skills of foreigners. The following texts discuss: shaping intercultural competence through the use of literary texts, which develop reading comprehension and facilitate the creation of utterances; practical aspects of language learning during university classes on Polish-Belarusian and Belarusian-Polish translation; Ilya Frank’s method of learning a foreign language using works of literature.
The issue also presents the state of research on teaching Belarusian as a foreign language on the basis of a rich list of publications on the subject and presents the 30-year history of the Belarusian language Olympiad in Poland.
