The volume is a tribute to Professor Stefan Karol Kozlowski, who passed away in 2022. His passing caused a great stir in the community of Stone Age researchers and the editors' invitation received texts from all over the world.
The first part of the volume contains reminiscences of collaboration with the Professor, as well as descriptions of fieldwork, particularly that conducted in Nemrik (Iraq). The second part consists of articles relating to issues of interest to the Professor. His works on Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic and later times, with particular emphasis on the study of flints, continue to inspire researchers both in Poland and abroad (Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, Pakistan, South-West Asia).
