Signs or not signs? Volume 1
A presentation of different attitudes towards the term “sign.” An analysis of syntactics, that is, a combination of linguistic signs, and the place of this branch of knowledge in the system of linguistics. A discussion of the structure of discourse and issues concerned with non-linguistic signs, including the relations between body language and belonging to a given culture, concepts of national body languages, as well as theoretical and methodological problems connected with the humanities’ turn towards semiotics of culture and the possibility of conducting phraseological studies from this perspective.
