Interdyscyplinarne pismo za cel stawia sobie umożliwienie dialogu między socjologią a innymi dyscyplinami z kręgu nauk społecznych i humanistycznych: antropologią, ekonomią, filozofią, historią, literaturoznawstwem, prawem, teologią etc. Interdyscyplinarność rozumiemy zarówno jako przekraczanie granic między wąsko zakreślonymi polami badawczymi, jak i łączenie rozmaitych technik i metod badawczych. Pragniemy powrócić do badania społeczeństwa jako całości, do opisywania i wyjaśniania zjawisk społecznych ze względu na nie same, nie zaś z uwagi na specjalizacje wyznaczone przez narzędzia badawcze lub historycznie utrwalone podziały między obszarami zainteresowań poszczególnych nauk.
